WOODRUFF- Allie Ruth Douglas Richards, 93, formerly of 550 Buncombe Street went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Wesley Court Assisted Living.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late John and Rebecca Crowder Douglas and was the widow of Clyde Richards.  She was a member of Woodruff Church of God and was a homemaker.

  Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn (Doug) Lindsey of Lyman and Susan (Mack) Johnson of Spartanburg; 2 grandchildren, David Lindsey and Denise Lindsey; 2 great-grandchildren, Keaton Lindsey and Kehrstin Lindsey.  She was predeceased by one brother, George Douglas and four sisters, Lucille Douglas, Eva Langston, Nannie Owens and Mary Hurley and a grandson, Jeremy Johnson.

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. James Shealy and Rev. Buster Ball.  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with a committal service by Rev. Curtis Terry.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 P.M. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Suite 200, Landover, MD. 20785.

  The family is at their respective homes.
