Barbara S. Harmon

CHESNEE: Barbara S. Harmon, 67, loving wife of John David Harmon of 1213 Highway 11 West went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home.

Born October 13, 1948 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. Spencer and Frances Jolley Spencer. Mrs. Harmon was a graduate of Limestone College in Gaffney and was a retired School Teacher with Spartanburg District 2. After her retirement she started Mrs. Barbara’s After School Club where she touched the lives of many children with her love, care and compassion. She was a member of Chesnee First Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, those left to cherish her memory is her son, John Spencer Harmon and wife Courtney of Greer and her precious dog Sassy.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Linda S. Pierce.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Chesnee First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Gary Grogan and Reverend Lee Coyle officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church.

The family is at the home and everyone is welcome.
