Boyd “Bud” Bragg

WOODRUFF- Boyd W. “Bud” Bragg, 85, of 3501 Hwy. 417 went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his home.

  A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Starling and Gertrude Hayes Bragg and the widow of Frances Griffith Bragg.  He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church and was a member of Crescent Masonic Lodge #245.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient.

  Surviving are two daughters, Gail (Randy) Ball of Woodruff and Kathy (Charlie) Lane of Woodruff; one son, Dean (Kay) Bragg of Woodruff; one sister, Cookie Tennison of Simpsonville; one brother, John Calvin Bragg of Campobello; two nephews, Mike Bragg of Woodruff and Wayne Bragg of Fountain Inn; seven grandchildren, Brandi Bailey, Daniel Ball, Ashley Shipman, Shana Perez, Doug Bragg, Erika Davis and Hunter Bragg; ten great-grandchildren.   He was predeceased by a son, Roger Dale Bragg, two sisters, Audrey Snow and Shirley Williams and three brothers, Lloyd Bragg, Cecil Bragg and Ray Bragg.  The family would like to give thanks to his special daughter-in-law and caregiver, Kay Bragg.

  Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Ray Mims.

  Visitation will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the residence.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.

  The family is at the residence.
