Dorothy P. Simmons

ENOREE- Dorothy Price Simmons, 88, of 15211 Hwy. 221, died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at her home.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Omie Cothran Price and the widow of John Luther “Lefty” Simmons.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enoree and a retired seamstress with Josten’s.

  Surviving are two daughters, Vicky Waters of Laurens and Gayle Trammel of Enoree; one son, Johnny Simmons of Enoree; two sisters, Norma Owens of Enoree and Faye Lawson of Enoree; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.  She was pre-deceased by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Earl and Cathy Trammel Simmons.

  Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Steven Owensby and Rev. James Owens.

    Family and friends may pay their respects any time after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, Woodruff.

  The family is at the residence.
