Lillie Mae Kennedy

WOODRUFF- Lillie Mae “Mema” Morrow Kennedy, 100, of 261 Lakewood Drive went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her residence.

  A native of Woodruff, she was born November 6, 1916 to the late John R. Morrow and Elizabeth Brooks Morrow and was the widow of William Alexander Kennedy.  She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and was former co-owner of Kiddie Korner Daycare.

  Surviving are one daughter, Linda Taylor of the home; one son, William Donald (Pat) Kennedy of Woodruff; one brother, Jack Morrow of Boiling Springs; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Kennedy was predeceased by her son-in-law, Mitchell Taylor, a daughter, Brenda Jane Kennedy, a great-granddaughter, Meredith Ross Poole, 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mrs. Jennifer Phillips, Mr. Marty Phillips and Mr. Brian Kennedy.  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund, 9480 Hwy. 221, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family is at the residence, 261 Lakewood Drive, Woodruff.
