M.L. Knighton

WOODRUFF: Monroe “M.L” Knighton, 77, husband of Billie Peace Knighton of 27 Fowler Drive went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Pelham Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1938 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Lewis Levue Knighton and Bessie Mae Comer Knighton. He was retired from Tietex and was a member of West End Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Debbie Ellis and husband Steve of Spartanburg; sister, Irene Bray and husband J.C. of Anderson.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and James Waddell.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 at West End Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Thomason and Rev. Joel Burke officiating. Entombment will follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to West End Baptist Church, 1031 West Georgia Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
