Marcelle M. Simmons

ENOREE- Marcelle Mathis Simmons, 85, of 485 Ball Park Road died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her residence.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Emmit and Inez Morrow Mathis.  She was a member of Enoree First Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU and the Gladys Farmer Sunday School Class.

  Surviving are her husband, Johnny Lafayette Simmons of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Jones (Rev. Lonnie Jones) of Enoree and Andrea Bishop (Wayne Bishop) of Enoree; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Iris Corn.

  Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at Enoree First Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:45 P.M. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Enoree First Baptist Church, 1150 Parker Road, Enoree, S.C. 29335.

  The family is at the residence.
