FOUNTAIN INN- Master Chief Frank Eugene Patterson, 82, of 2 Rosehill Place went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 5, 2016 at his home.
A native of Lancaster, he was the son of the late Rev. L.R. and Myrtle Patterson. He was a member of the Woodruff Church of God. He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran having 37 years of service and had served in the Vietnam War and the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth “Lib” Grubbs Patterson of the home; three daughters, Darlene Campbell of Inman, Sharon Cherry of Fountain Inn and Lora Patterson of the home; two sons, Keith Patterson of Gray Court and Michael Patterson of Woodruff; three brothers, Lee Patterson of Anderson, Glenn Patterson of Gaffney and Rev. James Patterson of Belton; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. at Woodruff Church of God by Rev. Curtis Terry, Rev. James Shealy and Rev. Eddie Allen. A visitation will be held from 4:00-5:45 P.M. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
A committal service with full military honors will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at the M.J. Dolly Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Woodruff Church of God, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
