Melvyn D. Peace

LAURENS- Melvyn Douglas Peace, 78, of 664 Bethel Church Road died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home.

  A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Belton and Katherine Wilson Peace.  He was a member of West End Baptist Church in Woodruff and was a retired employee with General Electric and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

  Surviving are two daughters, Melvina Peace of Laurens and Jackie Peace of Arlington, Texas; one son, Joseph Peace of Laurens; two sisters, Billie Knighton of Woodruff and Jean Craig of Woodruff; one brother, Joe Peace of Woodruff; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

  Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

  Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 from 7:00-8:30 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, Woodruff.

  The family is at their respective homes.
