Nell C. Burns

FOUNTAIN INN- Nell Cartee Burns, 76, widow of Charles “Bud” Burns of 286 Bluebird Drive died Friday, September 9, 2016.

 A native of Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Walker R. Cartee and Mamie Beatrice Cartee Howard.  She was a member of Ware Place Church of God and was a retired textile employee with Inman Mills.

Surviving are her son-in-law, Billy Hamby and wife Dawn of Fountain Inn; daughter, Laura Neal of Clinton; brothers, Grady Cartee of Liberty, Jimmy Cartee of Easley; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Lynn Burns Hamby and step-father, LeRoy Howard.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11. 2016 at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Martin A. Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.
