Rosabelle Blaser Raether Beiers

SPARTANBURG- Rosie Beiers 1919-2016- Rosabelle Marian Blaser Raether Beiers, age 97, passed away peacefully December 30, 2016 at the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, S.C.

  She was born January 26, 1919 in Cambria, Wisconsin to Edward and Rose Marie Kunz Blaser.  She first married Clarence Laverne “Frosty” Raether in October of 1939 who preceded her in death in 1983.  She then married James Noris “Jim” Beiers in May of 1995 who preceded her in death in 2010.  Rosie lived in Wisconsin most of her life before retiring to Central Florida and then the Western Mountains of North Carolina.  She sang with the Sweet Adelines for 50 years.  She loved to knit and sew all her own clothes.  She was a big fan of NASCAR, the Sound of Music, reading and Dancing with the Stars.

  Rosie is survived by her sister, Florence Whittwere of Scottsdale, AZ.; sister-in-laws, Eula Gingras of Eau Claire, WI., Marion Blaser of Union Grove, WI., Jeanine Blaser of Sun City West, AZ., two sons, Gene Raether of Las Vegas, NV. and Eric Beiers and wife Kathy of Inman, S.C.; three daughters, Gaye Holt and husband Bill of Moore, S.C., Deedie Ranew and husband Dain of Woodruff and Lori Hinze and husband Cary of Simpsonville, S.C.; four grandchildren, Curt Raether of Knoxville, TN., Jina Raether of Lawton, OK., Keaton Hinze and Kylie Hinze of Simpsonville, S.C.; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Louis Blaser, James Blaser and David Blaser.

  In lieu of flowers or plants memorial contributions may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Road, Simpsonville, S.C. 29680.

  The family is at their respective homes and will have a private memorial service. 

  An internment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire, Wisconsin under the direction of Fuller-Specklin-Hulke Funeral Home.
