Ruby D. O’Shields

WOODRUFF- Ruby Durham O’Shields, 92, formerly of 410 McElrath Road went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Woodruff Manor.

  She was a native of Greenville County, and was born May 21, 1923 to the late Henry and Bessie Riddley Durham and was the widow of Elbert Haskell O’Shields.  She was a member of the Woodruff Church of God and was a retired textile employee with Abney Mill.

  Surviving are two sons, Charles O’Shields (Nancy) of Woodruff and Richard Lambert (Doris) of Woodruff; 3 grandchildren, Ricky Lambert (Myra), Vickie O’Shields Patterson (Chris) and Andy O’Shields (Laura); 5 great-grandchildren, Clay Lambert, Jake Lambert, Chase Patterson, Andrew O’Shields and Brandon O’Shields; one great-great-grandson, Owen Lambert.  She was pre-deceased by a great-granddaughter, Victoria Patterson.

  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 15, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Woodruff Church of God by Rev. James Shealy, Rev. Buster Ball and Mr. Jason Fowler.  Interment will follow in Green Pond Memorial Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. - 12:45 P.M. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Woodruff Church of God Building Fund or the Kid’s Café/Woodruff Church of God, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family is at the home of Chris and Vickie Patterson, 215 Autumn Street, Woodruff.
