Shirley L. Smith

ENOREE- Shirley Lancaster Smith, 80, wife of Jim T. Smith, formerly of 15270 Hwy. 221, stepped into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Cottages at Brushy Creek, Greer.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Jeffrey Boyd and Leatha Crowe Lancaster.  She was a member of Enoree First Baptist Church and was a 1955 graduate of Cross Anchor High School.

  In addition to her husband, J.T., she is survived by one daughter, Debbie Smith Davis and her husband Derek Davis of Greenville; 2 grandsons, Logan Davis and Blake Davis who were the light of her life; one brother, Langdon G. Lancaster of Chesnee.  She was predeceased by four brothers, R.P. Crowe, Paul C. Lancaster, Charles E. Lancaster, Jack Lancaster and Gene Lancaster. 

   A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Steven Owensby.  Interment will follow in Cedar Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 P.M. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Enoree First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 216, Enoree, S.C. 29335 or to a charity of one’s choice.
