Kyle David Jenkins
The family of Kyle David Jenkins of Simpsonville, S.C. is saddened to announce his sudden passing on March 5, 2024, at the age of 37. Kyle was born April 28, 1986, in St. Charles, Illinois.
Kyle will be dearly missed by his loving wife Katherine (Richter) Jenkins, his sons, Garrett and Owen Jenkins, his mother, Dorothy Jenkins (John Terrell), brother, Dustin Jenkins (Manar Rafkah Jenkins), nieces, Bridgett, Noura and Juliett, grandmothers, Dorothy Rood and Judith Jenkins, and many aunts and uncles, Peggy (Tim) Bell, Jimmy (Debbie) Rood, Richard (Cindy) Rood, Ernie (Jennifer) Rood, Carolyn Rood, and Robin (Todd) Gerber. He was also loved by many cousins, Ryan and Eric Bell, Sarah Rood, Meghan Milliones, Amanda Crasper, Ben Rood and Mollie Gerber, along with his in-laws, Neil, Connie and Will Richter. Kyle was predeceased by his loving father, David Jenkins, paternal grandfather, Bobby Jenkins and his maternal grandfather, Jimmie Rood.
Kyle was passionate about sports from an early age and especially enjoyed baseball. He loved coaching his son’s baseball teams through the years and was known as “Coach Kyle” to many in the surrounding community and was a beloved leader and mentor to many.
Kyle’s most recent employer was Steeger USA in Inman where he worked in the electrical department. He was a hard worker and loved his job and the friends and co-workers who were so supportive of him.
Kyle’s family and friends will miss his sense of humor, infectious laugh, bear hugs and the love that he showed to everyone. He had a heart for others and was always the first person to give to those in need.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff.
The family requests that sports apparel or casual wear is encouraged in honor of Kyle’s love for all sports. He would want this to be a celebration of his life and for everyone to feel comfortable.
Following the service, guests are asked to join the family to reminisce and share stories about Kyle at Bullwinkle’s Tavern 2613 Woodruff Road, Unit 102, Simpsonville, S.C.
