WOODRUFF- Billy Dean “B.J.” Simmons Jr., 31, of 106 Cannery Road died Monday, March 19, 2018 at his home.

  A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of Billy Dean Simmons Sr. and Marie King Simmons of Woodruff.  He was of the Baptist faith and was formerly employed with Thompson Grading.

  Surviving are his wife, Ashley Marie Simmons of the home; two sisters, Maranda Simmons of Woodruff and Jessica Simmons of Woodruff; one brother, Zeke (Ashley) Simmons of Woodruff; Paternal Grandmother, Dianne Simmons of Mauk, Georgia; Paternal Grandfather, Jerry Simmons (Lori) of Woodruff; 4 nieces, Z’Mya Simmons, Cadence Mousa, Harper Mousa and Gemma Mousa; 1 nephew, Briggs Mousa.  B.J. is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.   He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James and Patricia King.

  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church by Rev. Robert King and Rev. Jeffrey Mousa.  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, 464 Woodruff Street, Woodruff, S.C.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 464 Woodruff Street, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family is at the home of his parents, 43 Eli Cox Road, Woodruff.
