Pauline,SC - Wilma Carolyn Clark Stokely, 71, was blessed to go be with the Lord and run to meet her loved ones who were waiting for her on October 19, 2018.

Born in Cocke County, TN, Carolyn was the only daughter of the late Raymond Floyd and Nellie Jane (Pearce) Clark.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Enoree, SC.

She is survived by her husband, Joe, whom she has loved and cherished the last 53 years of her life, and who cared for her the entire duration of her sickness.

In addition to her husband, survivors include her  four daughters:  Cathy (Roy) Stokely of Grey Court, Freda Butler, Cindy (Ted) Jackson, and Debra Stokely, all of Spartanburg.  5 grandchildren James Owen, Marissa and Clark Butler, Katrina and Destiny Jackson, 2 step grandchildren, Billy and Justin Jackson, 2 great grandchildren, Kairi and Sean Owen and a host of nieces and nephews.  She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.

For 15 years, she was PCCA with Spartanburg Regional on 5 Heart.

Visitation will be Monday October 22, 2018 from 1pm-2:45pm at Lanford -Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff, SC with funeral services to follow at 3pm with Rev. Jeff Wells officiating.  Interment will be at New Hope Baptist.

One of her last wishes was to see two of her daughters be able to get a treatment for their disabling disorder, Friedrichs Ataxia.  The family asks that in Lieu of Flowers to please consider making a donation to her daughters’ fund in her memory please see someone in the family.
