Carolyn C. West

WOODRUFF- Carolyn Chumley West, 65, of 122 Eli Cox Road went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Regional Hospice Home.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Callie and Ada Ruth Chumley.  She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Lyman.  She was a 1970 graduate of Woodruff High School where she also was captain of the basketball team in 1969.

  Surviving are her husband, Larry West of the home; one son, Jamie (Tracy) West of Woodruff; two sisters, JoAnn Crowe of Enoree and Georgia (Charlie) Stephens of Fountain Inn; one grandson, Jackson West; nieces, Gracie Ramsey and Natalie Hudson; nephew, Easton Hudson.  She was predeceased by one sister, Susan Hudson and also by her twin brother, Callie Chumley.  The family would like to give a special thank you to her niece, Robin Burns for all her assistance during Carolyn’s illness.

  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Tim Wofford, Rev. Buster Ball and Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00-3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

  The family is at the home of Jamie and Tracy West, 335 Silas Court, Woodruff.
