David H. Brittain

WOODRUFF- David Henry Brittain, 75, of 3737 Harris Bridge Road died Friday, January 12, 2018 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.

  A native of Burke County, N.C., he was the son of the late Burl and Elonza Young Brittain.  He was a member of Bramlett United Methodist Church and was a retired employee with Knife Source in Fountain Inn.

  Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Roberson Brittain of the home; one daughter, Lisa Brittain Tucker and her husband, Roger Dale Tucker of Woodruff; one son, David Jeffrey Brittain and his wife, Dawn Satterfield Brittain of Woodruff; one sister, Alma Lucille Miller of Woodruff; two brothers, James Brittain and his wife, Molly Brittain of Woodruff and Bennie Brittain of Woodruff; 5 grandchildren, Tyler Crocker, Kyle Brittain, Ryan Brittain, Harley Tucker and Preston Tucker all of Woodruff.  He was predeceased by a sister, Eula Mae Abee and two brothers, Herman Brittain and Edward Brittain.

  Visitation will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

  Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Bramlett United Methodist Church by Rev. Steven King and Mr. Charles O’Shields.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bramlett United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 2160 Bramlett Church Road, Gray Court, S.C. 29645.
