Doris Newby Beddingfield, 82, widow of James C. Beddingfield passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Valley Falls Terrace in Spartanburg, SC.

Born January 26, 1936 in Webb City, MO., she was a daughter of the late Alvin Newby and Mabel Newby. She was retired from General Electric in East Flat Rock, NC.

Surviving are her daughters, Judy B. Allen of Zirconia, NC. Debbie B. Sustare of Enoree, SC., Sharon E. Beddingfield of Clyde, NC.; sisters, Lorene Dietz of Maple Valley, WA., Deloris Behymer of Joplin, MO., Shirley Milsap of Carthage, MO., Mary Lou Villani of Wilderville, OR.; brothers, Gale Newby of Racine, Mo., Stanley Newby of Webb City, MO. David Newby of Webb City, MO.; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Mitchel Beddingfield and sisters, Louise Marsh, JoAnn Wilson.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church, 4216 Green River Road, Zirconia, NC 28790 with Rev. Randy Bane officiating. Burial will follow at Thompson’s Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Springs Baptist Church, 4216 Green River Rd. Zirconia, NC 28790.
