Edward T. Evans, Jr.
FOUNTAIN INN- Edward T. Evans, Jr., 57, of Fountain Inn, lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 8, 2020.
Ed was born in Rome, New York on May 24, 1962 to the late Edward and Bessie Evans. He lived in Goldsboro, North Carolina for a brief time and then settled in Key Largo with his wife to raise their children. Ed retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a Senior Master Sergeant in 2018 and moved to Fountain Inn. His passion was spending time with his family and friends. He was well known for his block parties and BBQs in Key Largo and his love for cooking, boating, fishing and traveling.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Hill Evans; daughter, Kayla and son Edward III. He also leaves behind sisters, Cecelia (Jerry) McCafferty, Denise (Ed) Jaques, Stacey (Terry) Zdunczyk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
A private family service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the M.J. Dolly Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, S.C.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Key Largo in the spring.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him.
