BOILING SPRINGS- Ernest Franklin “Ernie” Roberts, 63, of 8153 Hill Street died Tuesday, August 28, 2018.

  A native of Laurens County, he was the son of the late Johnny and Louise Ballard Roberts and was the widower of Janice Elizabeth Brown Roberts.  He was a retired supervisor with Tietex and was a Hejaz Shriner.

  Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia Ann Roberts Gregory and her husband, Dennis William Gregory of Enoree; one sister, Mary Ann Roberts of Laurens; one brother, Fred Allen Roberts of Laurens; 5 grandchildren, Cynthia Denise Gregory Lane and her husband, Preston Edward Lane Sr. of Enoree; Stephanie Marie Gregory of Lyman, Katie Elizabeth Gregory of Laurens, Daniel Pete Gregory and Dennis William Gregory both of Enoree; 7 great-grandchildren, Preston Edward (PJ) Lane Jr. of Enoree, Easton William Edward Lane of Enoree, Andre David Sprouse of Lyman, Albrey Alana Brooks of Lyman, Kayden Marnice William Doolittle of Laurens, Karter Drew Doolittle of Laurens, Kamden Patrick Doolittle of Laurens, also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Kalonn River Gregory.

  A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Garrett.
