WOODRUFF- Ethel Owens Godfrey, 86, of 380 Allen Street passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Woodruff Manor.

  A native of Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Ellie Whitmire Owens.  She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

  Surviving are her husband Albert Godfrey of Woodruff; three sisters, Pat Sanders of Kathleen, Fla., Carolyn Weathers of Woodruff and Martha Knight of Woodruff; one brother, James Owens of Lanford Station.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Onelia Parrish and Edith Steiner.

  Graveside services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Carrol Caldwell.

  Mrs. Godfrey will lie in state at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 until the hour of service on Friday.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 1530 Drayton Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29307.

  The family is at their respective homes.
