Frances S. Penland

  Frances Virginia Snell Penland, 91, of 154 Walden Circle, Spartanburg, died Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Golden Age Nursing Home.

  A native of Chester, S.C., she was the daughter of the late James Jake and Cazzie Parker Snell.  She was of the Church of God faith and was a former textile employee with Mayfair Mills.

  Surviving are her husband, Paul Edward Penland of the home; one daughter, Betty Ann Hill of Greer; 1 grandson, Kevin J. Yarborough; 6 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, Randy Edward Penland who died February 14, 2012.

  Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff.  Interment will follow in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  The family is at their respective homes.
