Harold L. Taylor

WOODRUFF- Harold Lee Taylor, 88, of 1326 Cross Anchor Hwy., went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Regional Hospice Home.

  A native of Greenville County, he was the son of the late Roy T. and Agnes N. Taylor.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff and was retired after 47 years as a Weave Room Manager with Reeves Bros. Mills Mill Plant in Woodruff.  Before his declining health, he faithfully served God, as Deacon, Sunday School Director and teacher, Training Union Director, RA Leader and served on numerous pulpit committees.  He enjoyed singing in the choir and quartets.  He was a loving husband, father and a good provider.

  Mr. Taylor was an active member of the following masonic bodies for over 60 years, Bethel Lodge #112 AFM of South Carolina, York Rite of SC, Scottish Rite of SC and Hejaz Shrine Temple.

  Surviving are his wife, Mildred Knighton Taylor of the home; two daughters, Ann (Ronnie) Henson of Woodruff and Teresa (Dr. Ronald) Littlefield of Spartanburg; one son, Danny (Sharon) Taylor of Woodruff; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a sister, Bobby Jean Manly and a brother, Earl R. Taylor.

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. John Lynch.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites rendered by Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 and a committal by Rev. Andrew Shull.

  Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303 or Alzheimer’s Association, 901 S. Pine Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
