Haskell D. Roddy
WOODRUFF- Haskell Donnie Roddy, 88, of 600 SJ Workman Hwy., passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at Pelham Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Henry Dee and Minnie Lee Waddell Roddy and was the widower of Mary Louise “Judy” Roddy. He was a member of West End Baptist Church, was a retired textile employee with Reeves Bros. and operated a small engine repair shop.
Surviving are three daughters, Sheila (Mike) Socorro of Woodruff and Shirley (Wesley) Johnson of Union and Melinda (Joe) Stanley of Simpsonville; four sons, Bud (Diane) Roddy of Woodruff, Mack (Melissa) Roddy of Greer, Larry Roddy of Greenwood and Perry Roddy of Spartanburg; one sister, Doris (Junior) McAbee of Woodruff. He is also survived by a granddaughter reared in the home Nikki (Matt) Clutter of Woodruff; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters. He was predeceased by a daughter, Annette Roddy and a brother, William “Bill” Roddy.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Bill Thomason and Rev. Buster Ball. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
The family is at their respective homes.
