ENOREE- James Rufus “Jimmy” Laurence II, 56, of 450 Charles Street died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at his residence.

  A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of James Rufus and Dianne Fulmer Laurence of the home and the late Julie Thomas Rodgers.  He was a member of Enoree United Methodist Church and was a retired employee with Inman Mills with 36 years of service.  He was a 1980 graduate of Strom Thurmond High School where he was a member of the Upper State Champion Football Team.

  Surviving are his stepfather, Robert Rodgers of Edgefield, Susan Laurence of Whitmire; three brothers, Joel King (Teri) Laurence of Aiken, Charles Stevens (Shannon) Laurence of Mayo and William Augustus Reynolds of Camden; 2 nieces and 1 nephew.  He was predeceased by a brother, John David Laurence.

  A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Danny Garrett.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 1530 Drayton Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

  The family is at their respective homes.
