WOODRUFF- Lodema Kaye Chesney Cooper Detmar, 71, formerly of Woodruff went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Merry Wood Lodge in Elmore, Alabama.

  A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mattie Elizabeth Knighton Chesney and was the former wife of Thomas Frank Cooper.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, a former Music Director at several area Baptist churches and had worked as a Finance Director in Clinton.

  Surviving are three sons, Chad (Jennifer) Cooper of Taylors, Scott (Crystal) Cooper of Roebuck and Greg Cooper of Woodruff; 4 grandchildren.

  Graveside services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Buster Ball.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, South Carolina Chapter, 901 S. Pint Street, Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
