WOODRUFF- Lois Heller McTeer, of 204 S. Main Street passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Merritt Island, Florida, and was the daughter of Neil and Cora Hicks Heller of Woodruff. She was of the Christian faith and was the owner and operator of Zen Garden Spa in Woodruff and she also served as a volunteer at the Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen.
In addition to her family, Lois’ joy was found in promoting healing, comfort and encouragement to her clients at the Spa. As a state licensed massage therapist and esthetician, she developed a loyal clientele throughout the Woodruff community as well as Spartanburg and Greenville counties and beyond. She also enjoyed the beauty of nature and was gifted with a “green thumb” as evidenced by the beautiful plants and foliage she maintained at her residence. Her home was awarded “Yard of the Month” honors by the Woodruff Garden Club on multiple occasions. She will be dearly missed by those who loved and knew her best.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Rakesh (Raki) Godavari of the home; two sons, Connor McTeer and Gavin McTeer of Columbia; two sisters, Cindi (Chris) Taylor of Woodruff and Kim (Steve) Brownsberger of Inman; brother, Tim (Brittani) Heller of Simpsonville; several nieces and nephews.
To honor her life, family members, close friends and long-time clients are invited to attend a time of memorial and celebration of her life at the Zen Garden Spa in Woodruff between the hours of 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017.
