Marsha G. Groomes

WOODRUFF- Marsha Gore Groomes, 64, of 128 Connie Drive, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Pelham Medical Center.

  A native of Seneca, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Dr. William Jennings Gore and Martha Gardner Gore.  She worked for Adidas for many years and was a member of Cedar Shoals Baptist Church.

  Surviving are two sons, Brandon Groomes (Susan) of Enoree and Blake Groomes (Kate) of Elgin; two brothers, Stanley Gore (Vicki) of Greenville and Gardner Gore of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Aaron and Alexis Groomes both of Enoree and Aubrey and Zoe Groomes both of Elgin.

  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

  She was predeceased by a sister, Jennine Bloom and her dog Gizmo whom she loved very much.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Philip Long.

  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

  The family is at the home of Brandon and Susan Groomes, 789 Browning Road, Enoree.
