Ruby Nell Watson
WOODRUFF- Ruby Nell Crow Lanford Watson, 92, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Hospice of Laurens County.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Cleveland and Corrie Simmons Crow. She was the widow of CD (Van Dyke) Watson and was first married to the late Woodrow Lanford. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a retired employee with Melton Bros. Embroidery.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela Lanford Blore (Keith) of Laurens; one son, John Perry Lanford of Gray Court; one sister, Marcelle Crow Garrett of Greenville; step daughter-in-law, Gwen Watson of Atlanta; one stepson, Ricky Watson (Rhonda) of Irmo; one step son-in-law, Tracy Pelt of Dillon; 3 grandchildren, Eric Blore, Angel Lanford Gilliland and Warren Lanford; 3 great grandchildren, Chandler Gilliland (Montana), Madison Gilliland and Gabriella Lanford; 8 step-grandchildren, James Watson, Jerry Watson, John Watson, Paul Watson, Kim Watson Strickland (Robbie), Jennie Swanson (Jacob), Megan Pelt and Tray Pelt; 6 step-great-grandchildren; Josiah, Tabitha and Sophie Strickland, Tealynne, Krynne and Jace Swanson. She was predeceased by a son, Warren Phillip Lanford, a step-son, Dale Watson; also a step-daughter, Pam Watson Pelt. Mrs. Watson was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Montgomery Lanford, 3 sisters, Zelzie Godfrey, Pansy Griffin and Mildred Cooley as well as 6 brothers, Fred Crow, Wilton Crow, L.C. Crow, Bascombe Crow, Waynes Crow and James Crow.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Garrett and Rev. Jerry Taylor. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.
