WOODRUFF- Shirley Crowder Sanders, 79, of 18 Poplar Street went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 13, 2018 at her home.

  A native of Polk County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late George and Leatha Gregg Crowder and the widow of Julius James “Goot” Sanders.  She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a retired employee with Cryovac.

  Surviving are one daughter, Sheila (Keith) Owings of the home; stepdaughter, Alicia Fernandez of California; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandie Sanders Beard.

  Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary.

  Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens by Rev. Robert King.

  The family is at the residence.
