Wayne L. Walker

ENOREE- Wayne LeRoy Walker, 83, of 1276 Parker Road died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

  A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late John P. and Betsy Bell Goodwin Walker.  He was a retired security officer with American Security.  He was a U.S. Marine Veteran and also served in the National Guard.

  Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Bryant Walker of the home; two daughters, Brenda Fain (Charles) of Inman and Cora Fowler of Inman; two sisters, Sara Weathers of Enoree and Carolyn Thompson of Spartanburg; one brother; Harold Walker of Columbia; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two special friends, Kim Pridgen and Gail Crocker. He was predeceased by two daughters, Teresa Knighton and Linda Woody; 2 sisters, Pat and Kate and 3 brothers, Winford, James and JP.

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Larry Wilkes and Mr. Charles Fain.  Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00-3:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  The family will be at the residence.
