With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of Anna Maureen LeCoq, age 27, who left this world far too soon on June 5, 2026. 

Anna was born on February 26, 1999, and from the very beginning brought joy, light, and love to everyone fortunate enough to know her. She lived her life with a beautiful spirit, an adventurous heart, and a kindness that touched countless lives. If Anna knew you, she loved you, and she had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. 

Anna was a dedicated educator and Resource Teacher at West View Elementary School. Teaching was more than a profession—it was her calling. She poured her heart into supporting her students, encouraging their growth, and helping them believe in themselves. Her patience, compassion, and gentle nature left a lasting impact on the lives of her students, colleagues, and families. 

Anna embraced life wholeheartedly. She loved traveling, attending concerts, exploring new places, and creating memories with family and friends. She was always ready for the next adventure, often at a moment’s notice, and approached life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and joy. Her beautiful smile, quiet confidence, and positive outlook could light up any room she entered. 

She is survived by her loving parents, Michael Paul and Monique LeCoq; her beloved brother, Anthony LeCoq; and her grandmother, Marie Osswald of Spartanburg, South Carolina. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wolfgang Osswald, Nora and Leslie LeCoq. 

Anna is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Tammy and Chris Dickinson of Louisiana; Patricia and Paul Pinsonat of Louisiana; Antoinette Osswald; Marina and Scottie Johns; and Roger Lanford, husband of her late aunt, Rosario Lanford. 

She leaves behind her cherished cousins, Danny (Kadie), Chris (Brittany), Olivia, Noah, TJ, Hayden, Payton, and Jacelyn, and her best friend Julian Sullivan along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and students whose lives were enriched by her love and kindness.

Anna was preceded in death by her beloved cousins, Brooke Pinsonat and Heidi Johns.

She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Lainey, as well as her beloved guinea pig, Gideon and hamster, Lissa who brought her much happiness and companionship.

Though Anna’s years were far too few, she filled them with extraordinary love, laughter, compassion, and purpose. She loved life in a big way and embraced every opportunity to make memories, help others, and spread joy. Her family and friends will forever remember her adventurous spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for the people around her.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, teacher, friend, and source of light to all who knew her. 

While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that we will see her again one day, her love will always remain with us. We will see her in sunsets, in children’s smiles, in shared laughter, and in the precious memories she leaves behind. 

Anna will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday June 16, 2026, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Spartanburg. A memorial mass will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend David Whitman officiating.
