ENOREE- Barbara Jean Burch Nelson,85, of 191 Mount Shoals Road went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

   She was born April 2, 1939, in Spartanburg County to the late Willie Mae Burch and was the widow of Leland Nelson.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Enoree and was retired Postmaster from Enoree Post Office.

  Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Villani and Shawn Coward (Mike); grandchildren, Dana Vinson, Jessica Vinson, Lora Vinson, Candice Novotny (Ben) and April Rogers (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Dominique Vinson, Ebony Green (Taylor), Malik Goodman, Hallie Smith (Justin), Taylor Vinson, Noah Rogers, Kieran Goodman, Aleigha Dillard and Preston Vinson; great-great-grandchildren, Blakely Smith, River-Grace Green, Rilee Green and Bentley Smith.  She was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Gabriel Sturkey.

  Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Enoree by Rev. John Huckaby.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Serving as pallbearers, Daniel Rogers, Taylor Green, Justin Smith, Ben Novotny, Mike Coward and Keith Ray.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

  The family is at the residence.
