Bennie W. Page
WOODRUFF- Bennie Williams Page, 92, of 254 Edgewood Circle went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
She was born December 4, 1930, at the home in Enoree, South Carolina to the late Ben Alonzo Williams and Pearl Maddox Williams. She was the widow of Robert Hugh “Blackie” Page Sr.
Mrs. Page began her working career at age 17 by working in Probate Court under Judge Davenport. Mrs. Page then worked for Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center for over 30 years. After retirement from the Mental Health Center, she worked for attorney William Cox and MEMC. She was an avid lover of dogs and many Dachshunds and Shelties throughout her life. Mrs. Page would travel with her dear friends to various dog shows and agility trials training her dogs. She was a founding member and held several positions with the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Spartanburg. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Woodruff.
Surviving are two sons, Robert “Bobby” Hugh Page Jr. and his wife, Jane of Rock Hill, S.C. and Jeffrey “Jeff” Williams Page and his wife, Donna of Woodruff; one daughter, Lisa Page Hall and her husband, Bennie of Woodruff; a special family member Michael “Pickle” Dennis and his wife, Teri of Spartanburg; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Love (Amy), Kristin Stevens Tucker (Jamie), Jennifer Hall Moore, Kristin Page Hall (Cort), Jacob Page and Ben Hall (Jenna); 9 great-grandchildren, Samuel and Mason Love, Rawls Tucker, Layla and Trey Moore, Wren Kathryn, Wells, Wyatt and Whitley Hall. Mrs. Page is also survived by her four-legged son, Court.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Mrs. Page will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Steve Holler and Rev. Steven Owensby. Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers, Ben Hall, Jacob Page, Matthew Love, Charles Pat Rhodes, Jody Mitchell and Kenneth Gist.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Woodruff, 360 East Georgia Street, Woodruff, S.C. 29388 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 636 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
