WOODRUFF- Bobby Dean Williams, 81, was carried home by angels on June 15, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by those he loved.

  He was born November 2, 1941, in Cramerton, North Carolina to the late George and Leona Harrison Williams.  Bobby’s family returned home to Woodruff when he was two years old.  He attended Woodruff Schools his entire life.  Upon leaving high school he began his career as a Lineman and Line Supervisor for Duke Power, before retiring from YC Ballenger.  He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and being with his family.

  Bobby at the age of 18 married the love of his life, Linda Smith Williams and celebrated 63 years of marriage this past March.

  In addition to his beautiful wife, Linda, he is survived by three sons, Ricky (Kim) Williams, Steve (Julie) Williams and Paul Williams; his daughter-in-law, Kim Williams; grandchildren, Scott (Shanna) Williams, Ashley (Chad) Prince, Kristen (Ryan) Wood, Carmen Williams, Joshua Williams (Courtney Story), Adam Williams and Justin (Kaitlyn) Williams; 14 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a son, Greg Williams and two brothers, John Earl Williams, and Donald Williams.

  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Gary Rogers.

  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. prior to the service.
