Carolyn C. Satterfield
WOODRUFF- Carolyn Cooper Satterfield, 87, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, May 26, 2023, at Pelham Medical Center.
She was born January 31, 1936, in Laurens County to the late Clarence and Grace Pearson Cooper and was the widow of James Griffin Satterfield. She was a member of Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church and ran Sherb’s Drive In in Enoree along with her late husband until she retired.
Surviving are two stepsons, Rick Satterfield of Taylors and Larry Satterfield of Easley; stepdaughter, Peggy Dewent of Greer; one sister, Martha Cooper of Lanford Station; one brother, Fred Cooper (Lorene) of Simpsonville; 3 step-grandchildren, Michael Satterfield, Heather Evans and Colista Satterfield; several step-greatgrandchildren and several step-great-greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Tom Cooper, C.B. Cooper Jr., and Henry Cooper; two sisters, Irene Dover and Edna Holmes. She was also predeceased by a former daughter-in-law, Colene Satterfield.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church by her nephew, Mr. Norman Dover Jr. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church, 135 Patterson Plant Road, Enoree, S.C. 29335.
The family is at their respective homes.
