Charles Walter “Turkey” Brown Jr.
WOODRUFF- Charles Walter “Turkey” Brown Jr., 80, of 530 Hawthorne Avenue went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at St. Francis Downtown.
He was born October 1, 1943, in Spartanburg County to the late Charles Walter Brown Sr. and Viola Caldwell Brown. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, a retired machinist with Honeywell International and served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Surviving is his wife, Kay Hyatt Brown of the home; one daughter, Laurie Brown-Pressly (Rob) of Greenville; one sister, Wanda Cape (Wayne) of Laurens; one granddaughter, Piper Kay Pressly; his fur baby, Maggie.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Woodruff by Rev. Andrew Shull.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Greenville County Animal Care, 328 Furman Hall Road, Building A, Greenville, S.C. 29609 or any rescue group or humane society. Contributions may also be made to the First Baptist Church of Woodruff, 801 Cross Anchor Road, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
