Charles Edwin Estepp, 95, of Woodruff, S.C. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday May16, 2022 at Brookstone Terrace in Woodruff.
Born October 23, 1926, in Laurens, SC., he was the son of the late William D. and Nora Summeral Estepp. Mr. Estepp was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Woodruff where he as a long-time member of over 60 years serving in many capacities though the years such as Financial Clerk, teaching young boys on Sunday evenings and adult men in Sunday School and many other positions in the church always being a faithful member. He served his country in the United States Air Force during war time.
Upon returning home, he worked at Abney Mill as a Loom Fixer until it closed then was employed by G.E. Turbine in Greenville. He had many interests such as Lock Smithing, C.B. Radios, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior.
He was predeceased by his late wife Doris Huntsinger Estepp and also his mother-in-law Blanche Green; three sisters, Doris (Jerry) Fowler, Margaret Roberts and Barbara Brant.
He is survived by his sisters, Ruby Timmons and Linda (Mac) Smith both of Spartanburg, a brother, William L. Estepp of Scappoose, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brian Redding officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Charles may be made to a charity of your choice or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
