Charles M. West

WOODRUFF- Charles Marion West, 75, of 237 Aiken Road went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

  Charles was born, December 22, 1944 in Spartanburg County to the late Herbert and Mattie Lou McGraw West.  He was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of Charles West Construction.

  Surviving are his loving wife, Carolyn Arnold West of the home; one daughter, Kim (Danny) Simmons of Woodruff; two sisters, Margaret Boulware of Woodruff and Lucille Lanford of Woodruff; a nephew reared in the home, Rick West of Woodruff; 4 grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) Penland, Daniel (Dani) Simmons, Cassidy West and Serenity Pruitt; 1 great-granddaughter, Lillian (Lilly) Simmons.

  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church, 4240 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck by Rev. Fred Quidley and Mr. James Cooley.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at the Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary, 257 North Main Street, Woodruff.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.

  The family is at the residence, 237 Aiken Road, Woodruff.
