Charles “Charlie” Davis

LAURENS- We are saddened to announce the passing on Sunday, January 14, 2024, of our beloved husband and father, Charles Dewitt Davis, 82, of Laurens, South Carolina and formerly of Marquette, Michigan.

  Charlie, born on December 7, 1941, grew up in Woodruff, South Carolina.  He served in the Air Force and went on to work as a foreman of Transient Aircraft Maintenance.  He studied Accounting at Northern Michigan University, and was the founder of Satellite Services Inc., a defense contracting company.  He was a member of Waterloo Methodist Church.

  Charlie lived a full life and was loved by so many!  He was an accomplished pilot and flight instructor, and especially enjoyed acrobatics.

  He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Macy Davis; brothers, Kenneth, Wayne and Donald; a sister, Marlene and a granddaughter, Leanne (Bessner).

  Surviving are his wife, Tracy and children, Debbie (Olson), Paula (Kelly), Jackie (Bessner) and Jason (Pearson); brother, Randall Davis; sister, Diane (Casey).

  The family asks that you celebrate his life with memories of his insatiable humor and friendship.
