WOODRUFF- Christopher Anthony “Chris” Vassey, 54, of 141 Old Timber Road went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his residence.

  He was born August 17, 1969, in Spartanburg County to the late Alvin and Grace Wood Vassey.  He was a member of New Hope Church, Inman, and an insurance agent with Vassey Insurance in Woodruff.  He was an Eagle Scout and a member and Master Mason Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 AFM.

  Surviving is his wife, Candie Martin Vassey of the home; one son, Christopher S. Vassey (Julie Moorman) of the home; one brother, Tim Vassey (June) of Roebuck; father-in-law, Trent Martin of Spartanburg; a special niece and nephew, Samantha Vassey King (Bobby) of Anderson and Noah Vassey of Roebuck.

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Church, 32 1st Street, Inman, S.C.  by Bishop Phil Pierce and Bishop Wayne Hinton.  Masonic Rites will be rendered by Bethel Masonic Lodge #112 AFM.

  Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  Serving as pallbearers, Christopher Vassey, Tim Vassey, Noah Vassey, Larry Bowling, Justin Archer, and Dan Moorman.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Church, 32 1st Street, Inman, S.C. 29349.

  The family is at the residence.
