ENOREE- Christopher “Chris” Leon Simmons,71, of 194 Rock Quarry Road passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at his residence.

  He was born April 12, 1954, in Spartanburg County to the late Leon “Cotton” Simmons and Faye Hughes Simmons.  He was a former foreman with Powers Construction.

  Surviving is one daughter, Kelly Thackston of Woodruff; one son, Jared Simmons (Janice) of Enoree; one sister, Sherry Womble of Clinton; one brother, Richie Simmons (Kathy) of Easley; four grandchildren, Alasia Thackston, Natalie Thackston, Abigail Simmons and William Simmons.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Johnny Simmons and Rev. Roy McCall.  Interment will follow at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.

  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. prior to the service.

  Serving as pallbearers, Bennie Hall, Brian Hayes, Garrett Lawson, Blake Lawson, Spencer Hughes and Chris Lawson.

  The family is at their respective homes.
