Cora B. Stewart
WOODRUFF- Cora Mae Bledsoe Stewart, 95, formerly of 299 Edgewood Circle passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Hospice of Laurens County.
She was born April 10, 1929, in Lyman, S.C. to the late Burl Riley Bledsoe and Mary Jane Coggins Bledsoe and was the widow of Otis Floyd Stewart who passed away March 26, 2023. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodruff and was a longtime member of Emma Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of W.R. Grace Company and was a homemaker.
Surviving is one daughter, Jane Moore of Woodruff; one son, James Floyd “Jim” Stewart of Fairplay; 2 grandchildren, Leigh Hix Blizzard and Lindsay Jane Stewart; 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Riley Stewart who passed away September 11, 2018.
Graveside services will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 14050 East Wade Hampton Blvd., Greer by Rev. Andrew Shull and Rev. Andy Watson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
