Cortez R. Williams
CROSS ANCHOR- Cortez Robert Williams, 76, of 917 Starnes Road passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Regional Hospice Home.
He was born May 5, 1945, in Spartanburg County to the late Horace Robert and Irene Crowe Williams. He was a retired employee with Timken and was an avid car and racing enthusiast.
Surviving is his wife, Martha Pryor Williams of the home; two sons, Neil (Eva) Williams of Laurens and Eddie Williams of Cross Anchor; one sister, Hazel Williams Bennett of Spartanburg; 7 grandchildren, Kristopher Williams, Tyler (Shawnna) Williams, Devan Williams, Austin (Grace) Williams, Matthew Reed, Ashlon Reed, and Amber DeShields; one great-granddaughter, Paislee Williams. He was predeceased by a brother, Claude Williams and a daughter-in-law, Susan Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel in Woodruff by Rev. Danny Monroe.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Williams will be cremated following the service.
The family is at the residence, 917 Starnes Road.
