David White Dennis, 66, passed away Thursday June 26, 2025, at his home. 

Born May 30, 1959, in Knoxville TN., he was a son of the late Dr. James D. Dennis and Carolyn White Dennis. He retired from Charter Business and was a 1977 graduate of Myrtle Beach High School. As a child he grew up at Emma Gray United Methodist Church and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. During his lifetime he enjoyed cooking, playing the guitar, gardening and avid animal lover and loved current events. 

Surviving is his sister, Sissy Holler (Steve) of Spartanburg; brothers, James D. Dennis Jr. (Caroline) of Landrum, Michael Dennis (Teri) of Spartanburg and Matthew Dennis (Sonya) of Cowpens. 

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary with Rev. Michael Hood and Mr. James Dennis officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303. 

Family members are at their respective homes.
