ENOREE- David Samuel Hoyt, 86, of 1360 Grace Chapel Road passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at his home.

He was born October 18, 1935, in Spartanburg County and was the son of the late Fannie Wyatt Hoyt and the widower of Ida Henson Hoyt. He was a member of the Woodruff Church of God but was attending Cavins Baptist Church. He was a retired textile employee.

Surviving is one son, David Earl “Bo” Hoyt of Enoree; one daughter, Teresa Hoyt Smith of Inman; 3 grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Smith Bankole, Daniel Smith and Jessica Pifer; two great-grandchildren, Kedria Brown and Kaziah Burnside; one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff.

No other services will be held at this time.
