Dennis James West, 67, of 409 28th Avenue S. Apt. 2 passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021, at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.

He was born December 12, 1953, in Spartanburg County to the late James Nesbitt West and Lucille Gibson West McCloud. He retired as CEO with Powers Construction in Woodruff.

Surviving is his wife, Monique Simmons West of the home; three sons, C.J. West of Woodruff and Richard Len West Blackwell of Shelby, North Carolina, and Bronson Kitchens of Woodruff; one sister, June Ashby of Spartanburg; one brother, Joe West of Roebuck; stepmother, Gaynelle West Brown of Spartanburg.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 12, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary in Woodruff by Mr. Richard Blackwell and Mr. Joe West.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Woodruff Area Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 352, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
