Earl Sherbert

WOODRUFF- William Earl Sherbert, 80, formerly of 231 Buncombe Street passed away Monday, February 26, 2024, at Brookstone Terrace.

  He was born May 20, 1943, in Woodruff to the late Charles Robert and Eula Mae Cannady Sherbert.  He was a member of the former Grace United Methodist Church in Woodruff.  He retired from Michelin and Woodruff Middle School.

  Surviving is one sister, Bobbie Sherbert Elliott of Spartanburg; niece, Lynn Amos (Lynn K.) of Seneca; one nephew, Mark Elliott (Sheryl M.) of Roebuck; great-niece, Kate Elliott; three great-nephews, Tyler Amos, Ryan Amos, and Chad Elliott.  He was predeceased by two brothers, James Harold Sherbert, and Charles Rossie Sherbert.

  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Kenneth Owens.  A private interment will be held at Highland Home Baptist Church Cemetery.

  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brookstone Terrace, 80 Medical Center Drive, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.

  The family would like to give a special thank you to Brookstone Terrace of Woodruff and Compassus Hospice for all their love, care and concern for Earl.

  The family is at their respective homes.
