WOODRUFF- Eddie Dean Simmons, 70, of 398 Simmons Road passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at his home.

He was born May 2, 1952, in Spartanburg County to the late Vernon Simmons Sr. and Lois Rice Simmons. He was a member of Switzer First Baptist Church and was a retired superintendent with Three Pines Country Club.

Surviving is his wife, Sheila West Simmons of the home; two sons, Paul Justin Simmons (Kim) of Tignall, Georgia and Austin James Simmons of Woodruff; one sister, Pat Snow of Cross Anchor; three brothers, Vernon Simmons Jr. (Marsha) of Spartanburg, Danny Simmons (Kim) of Woodruff and Wayne Simmons (Dianne) of Woodruff; five grandchildren, Andrew Simmons, Kaiden Simmons, Andrew Clary, Shelbie Ann Clary and Eli Clary. He was predeceased by two brothers, David Simmons and Arthur Simmons.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Mr. Matt Trammell and Mr. Danny Knight with a cremation following.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kid’s Café C/O Woodruff Church of God, P.O. Box 275, Woodruff, S.C. 29388.
